Fitness Trail: The John Brownell Belt Line Hike/Bike trail runs between the Lake and the Park. This is one of the most scenic and favorite Hike/Bike trails in Grand Island. There is also a path that breaks off and encircles the lake.

• There is Fishing allowed on the lake. Nebraska fishing permits are required. 

• Weather permitting the Parks Department floods a detention cell adjacent to the Lake for Ice Skating during the winter months. Ice Skating is not permitted on Suck's Lake.
