General Skate Park Information
Located in Pier Park, 623 S. Pine, the Skate Park was completed in October of 2001 at a cost of $200,000. A committee was formed, mostly of teens to help with design and site selection. The Skate Park covers over 14,200 square feet.
The Skate Park comes with a beginner’s area and advanced area. The advanced area includes a launch box, wall ride, bank ramp, quarter pipes, half pipe, two pyramids and a street spine. The beginner’s area offers most of the same features, except it has a mini-half, is not as steep, and the transitions are a less severe.
